I made these for a birthday gift and they came out really cute. I did hit a few speed bumps along the way; however, I now have a foolproof method!
Here’s What You Need:
- Glasses
- Loose Glitter
- A Foam Paint Brush
- Modge Podge
- Painters Tape
- Spray Sealant

The first thing I did was tape off the top of the glasses. In the picture it shows the top and the bottom being taped off. That is what I did in the first set; however, in the second set I only taped off the top part where your mouth would touch.(I made two sets because I messed up…so just disregard the bottom tape.”

After all four glasses were taped; I dipped the paintbrush in the Mod Podge and painted one side of the glass. The glue dries relatively quickly so, painting one side at a time seemed to work the best.

Once the glue is applied, sprinkle the glitter on, and then repeat on the other sides.

These glasses only need one coat of glitter. The first set of glasses I made had three coats of glitter, because I wanted them to be really sparkly. Well after three coats, they were no more sparkly and the glitter definitely peeled off in really large chunks with the tape. So the second set, had one coat, and were perfect.
Once all four glasses were glittered, with one coat, I took them outside and applied the sealant. I discovered that one thin, single coat, at a time, worked best. I applied three coats total to each glass and left them outside to dry.

Once everything was dry, I brought them inside and put them in a glitter box and they were ready for the party!

Very cute! 😍
