Halloween is the best time of year! The weather is finally starting to cool down, there are a ton of festivals, and you do not need an excuse to eat a ton of candy! The other night we made Frankenstein Rice Krispie Treats. They were everything we love in a snack: quick, cheap, and yummy!

Here is what you need:

The first step in making these Halloween snacks is to melt the butter on a low heat.

Once the butter is melted, add the bag of small mini marshmallows and start stirring.

Once the marshmallows and butter are combined,  add in the Rice Krispie cereal. Then stir it all together.

Next, add the green food coloring. The more you add, the greener your Frankenstein Rice Krispie Treats will be!

Then stir some more!

After all of that was done, we spread the mixture into a glass pan and let it harden.

Once the Halloween treats hardened, I cut them into squares and spaced them out onto Frankenstein’s “operating table”.

Now it is time to make Frankenstein! Kashen squiggled the black frosting on the top which created the “hair”, a straight line on the bottom for his mouth, and then dabbed two dots to put the candy eyeballs onto.
