A few years ago, we discovered MacDonald’s Ranch while looking for a local pumpkin patch and I am so glad that we did. The entire family had a blast! The ranch is adorable and Kashen was entertained for the entire afternoon! In addition to the pumpkin patch, there was a petting zoo, a gold panning exhibit, farm games, a hay maze, and horse rides. I highly recommend this for anyone looking for some fall fun on the ranch! Scroll below to see our adventure on the ranch!
This is the entrance to the ranch.
Throughout the ranch there were buildings that were designed to look like a western town.
The gold panning was Kashen’s favorite part of the farm, however, I think it is only because she got to switch her gold in for candy at the general store!
The petting zoo was another highlight, there were donkey’s, pigs, chickens, and baby sheep!
Another unique activity was the “cattle roping”.
The cow milking contest had two pails set up, which turned into a competition to see who could milk the cow the fastest.
After we played all of the games we took a horse drawn trailer to the pumpkin patch.
There were so many pumpkins to pick from! Once Kashen found her pumpkin, we took a train ride back to the ranch.
Horseback riding is offered for an additional fee but we couldn’t pass that up!
We have been to numerous pumpkin patches in the valley but the McDonald’s Ranch in Scottsdale, AZ is by far our favorite!
