We made these a couple of years ago and they are still one of the first things I put out each year when decorating for Christmas. I love them. I love that the were hand drawn, easy to make, and have lasted year after year!
Here’s what you need:
- Paper Plates
- 36 inch wooden dowels
- Red and Green Paint
- Foam Brush
- Ribbon
- Clear Cellophane Wrap
Here’s what we did!
The first step is to paint the paper plates. Kashen painted both the front and the back with various Christmas themes since they were going to be placed outside on the walkway to our front door.

Once all of the paint was dry, it was time to hot glue the stick onto the plates. We hot glued the stick onto one plate, and then placed the second plate onto the first.

Once the glue was dry and the lollipop was in place, it was time to cover it in the clear cellophane wrap. We did this by placing the plate in the center of the wrap and then folding it over.

Once the cellophane covered the entire plate, we folded the rest of the wrap over ,so that it looked liked wrapped candy.

I then twisted the bottom of the paper around the stick and secured it with some ribbon.

Once that was done, I then twisted the bottom of the paper around the stick and secured it with some ribbon.

I then tied a bow, and…..

Once all of the plates were done, we took them outside and placed them along the walkway leading to our front door. They were adorable!
